Chile
Chile is producing excellent quality Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay; and is the accidental champion of Carmenere. But in addition to these varietals the quality of their Sauvignon Blanc now rivals New Zealand and is definitely the one to watch in the coming years. The country represents 8% of the On Trade UK wine market.
In recent years, Chile has considerably broadened its range of varietals and styles, and is now making seriously good wine from the likes of Carmenere, Riesling and Viognier alongside more established varieties – Chile is very much a country to watch! Our Santa Serena range features six wines which are all bright fruity wines with the varietal purity for which Chile is renowned.Santa Serena – Sauvignon BlancA very clean and citrussy wine with bags of flavour and great balance.
